Friends of Family Health Center is proudly supporting families and continuing the mission to provide the best pediatric care to our patients from birth to age five. Through collaborative partnership with local resources and agencies, Friends of Family Health Center strives to help families and promote healthy growth and development for your child.
As a trusted community clinic, Friends of Family Health Center has partnered with the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) to expand support and additional services to families with children ages 0 to 5.
Our community clinics have the opportunity to work with HRSA to incorporate early childhood development into our pediatric program. Early childhood development expands and enhances the services that our pediatric families receive during and after well-child visits.
The integration of early childhood development expertise into our pediatric program will provide families with access to our dedicated care team, education, and support. By connecting with our care team, families will be able to identify, develop, and track their child’s growth and overall well-being at each well-child visit.
Friends of Family Health Center tailors each well-child visit to meet the unique needs of our families at an individual, familial, and community level.
We are committed to the following:
Friends of Family Health Center has woven together screening tools, identifiable milestones from “Learn the Signs. Act Early”, and behavioral well-being support in an easy to understand program that complies with the American Board of Pediatrics schedule of well-child visits. Supporting whole care at well-child visits includes screening for maternal well-being, child development, family needs, and behavioral well-being.
During the baby’s first 6 months of age, mother’s may experience “baby blues” and our team is here to support maternal well-being.
At each stage, children will reach different milestones. Your care team will help you identify developmental milestones and track your child’s healthy growth.
Healthy growth begins at home - our team will work with families to identify, address, and connect families with resources and support.
Experiences can impact a child’s development. Understanding actions and emotions can help parents support their child’s healthy growth.
Around 18 months, children can begin to show autistic tendencies. Early detection and support can improve your child’s overall growth.
Your care team will consist of our onsite program coordinator, pediatric care team, and early child development specialist. Our care team will work with you to help identify and address each family’s unique needs and concerns. Together areas of interests will be identified and participation in an individualized care plan to support and promote healthy growth and well-being.
