The OraQuick® HIV Self-Test can give you accurate results 3 months from exposure.
Please be aware that some results can result in false positives or false negatives. A false positive is when an HIV test shows that a person has HIV when they don't actually have it.
A false negative is when an HIV test shows that a person DOES NOT have HIV when they actually DO. This tends to happen when you test sooner than 3 months of possible HIV exposure. In this case, we recommend retesting at least 3 months after possible HIV exposure.
If your test result comes out positive, please contact your primary care provider as soon as possible. If you do not have a doctor, please call us at 909-903-3733
Please do not engage in sexual activities or sharing needles until you have seen your doctor. Most importantly, remain calm. We understand this can be a confusing and concerning time. Please remember, all things have solutions!
